The BioMedical Life Systems, Micro Plus® device is a two-channel analog device designed for microcurrent therapy, a well-studied modality for over 30 years.

Microcurrent, or MENS (Microcurrent Electrical Nerve Stimulator), differs from traditional TENS devices. TENS uses a larger current called Milliamp, while Microcurrent devices use Microamp, which is one thousandth the size of a Milliamp. The sensation for a Microcurrent device is usually not felt.

Microcurrent therapy releases ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) to transport energy within cells for metabolism. ATP production is essential to every living cell, and the body uses ATP to accelerate its own healing agenda.

Your physician may prescribe this unit for pain, anxiety, or muscle manipulation (e.g., Bell’s Palsy). Due to the healing properties of Microcurrent and the fact that the stimulation is not felt, Microcurrent has also been used as a veterinary aid in healing animals.
